Shining eyes are dangerous floating monsters that deal no damage, but aggressively blast you with contamination-inflicting gaze attacks. They are found uncommonly in the Slime Pits, and can be summoned by a few enemies through the Summon Eyeballs spell.

Tips & Tricks

• Since you will receive a lot of contamination being in Shining eyes' LOS, quickly getting rid of them or leaving line of sight is advisable. It usually takes them about three or four casts to get you to dangerous levels.
  • Mutagenic Gaze is a smite-targeted spell, so you can't hide behind allies to avoid it!

• Prior to 0.34, shining eyes moved slowly and casted malmutate.
