Constriction deals damage every turn, lower EV, and prevents movement or stair usage. You can try to break out by attempting to move, or always break out via [[blink]], [[teleport]], or disabling the target. Targets flying above or swimming in [[deep water]] or [[lava]] are immune.<br /> <br /> {{monsters with spell}}<br /> <br /> Players and monsters can get an analogous effect with a [[wand of roots]]. The wand constricts in a 3x3 area, but is not smite-targeted.<br /> <br /> ==History==<br /> *Prior to [[0.32]], Grasping Roots&#039; duration was more variable, and its damage was higher.
