New page

version034
An amphibious creature is one that is equally at home on land and in water, such as merfolk, sea snakes, and alligators:
*They have no penalty for moving or fighting in water (though they are still revealed if invisible in water), and can swim in deep water.
*They are immune to drowning / asphyxiation damage and engulf.

Player species that are amphibious are Merfolk, Octopodes, grey Draconians, and Barachim. If the player is a naturally amphibious species, items are not lost when dropped into deep water; this bonus is not granted by amphibious forms.

History
*Barachim, a new amphibious player species, were added in 0.20.
