Asphyxiation

Template:Version030 Asphyxiation (drowning) is an extremely rare form of damage caused by the sudden and painful inability to breathe. There are several sources:

• Engulf attacks deal asphyxiation damage over time.
• Drowned souls and water nymphs deal asphyxiation damage through their melee attacks.
• Primal Wave deals 50% physical, 50% asphyxiation damage.

Amphibious and unbreathing creatures are completely immune to asphyxiation.

History

• Prior to 0.27, curare dealt asphyxiation damage. Amphibious creatures were not immune to curare's damage.
